My Buyer Work, eSourcing revisited

While eSourcing editors have been offering tender management solutions for 20 years with little or no success, My Buyer Work from Brittany has taken up the standards of collaborative software and innovated with a purchasing project management solution ideal for cooperation with occasional internal and external users. 

On 24 November 2022 Alain Alleaume and I attended the presentation of My Buyer Work, its history and its hopes. The result of these two years of development is just astonishing as we see what we dreamed of: a management of the tasks of a purchasing project with ease of use both for the buyer and for the occasional users invited to collaborate. Cross-functional collaborative spaces: tasks, checklists, activity threads – fed by functional spaces: purchasing project, calls for tender, contract, supplier and purchasing performance – allow users to visualise and prioritise their activities at a glance via Gant and graph.

For the record, Olivier Rouillard, a telecom engineer and former Director of IT Purchasing and Intellectual Services Purchasing at Bouygues Télécom, realised that there was a gap between the daily life of a buyer and the solutions offered. In 2020, with the help of his brother François, a software development engineer, he set up their software publishing company, Saltoa, in La Mézière, just outside Rennes, on the road to St Malo in the charming Little Britanny.

Without exaggerating it seems to me that we can say that My Buyer Work represents a large part of the daily life of the Buyer allowing time saving, impact, visibility, cooperation and collaboration
